Trying to level a character in World Of Warcraft can be a cumbersome task, especially when its your first time. It took me 4 long months for me to get my character to level 60, and then the expansion came out and I had to get to 70. It was a real pain in the butt, but through out all of that I’ve learned a thing or two. Here are some tips that should help you reach level 70 in no time at all.
First thing you should do is install an add-on called Cosmos. Cosmos is an interface add-on and it has way too many features to list. One of the best features it has is a GPS like locator function. What this does is track exactly where you are in the game, in the form of numbers that appear near the mini map. This will help save you time when you are trying to figure out where to go for your next quest.
Once you have Cosmos installed you’ll want to use that in conjunction with a website called Thottbot. You can simply type that in on Google to find it. Thottbot is the Internets largest database related to World Of Warcraft. They have every single item, quest, NPC, and zone listed on their site. They allow other players to post comments about the different quests, and a lot of them post the locations. If you have installed Cosmos then you know exactly where to go.
Second thing, you should always do you quests in batches. What I mean by this is do not only leave the city to do one quest at a time, but instead to somewhere around 5. This will save you a ton of time because you don’t have to keep traveling back and forth in between quests. When you enter a new zone just gather up every quest you can and don’t return until your bags are full.
Third thing, you should try to quest in groups whenever you can. When you are with another person or in a group you can finish the quests much faster than you can by yourself. Some of the quests are impossible to solo, and they designed the game this way for it to be a social and interactive environment.
All you have to do when looking for people to quest with is just announce it in the general chat. You should get some kind of response.
After leveling my characters to 70 I’ve found those three things to be very helpful in speeding things up.
